Classic Design
SDC-UltraGlas™ load-bearing fiberglass columns merge traditional column design with the latest technology. Crafted to the exacting "Orders of Architecture", SDC's fiberglass column designs are available in sizes up to 36 inches in diameter and 26 feet in length.
No Maintenance
SDC-UltraGlass™ Fiberglass Columns are manufactured as one-piece to eliminate seams that can split. The strength of the material is very resistant to dents and scratches as well. The use of fiberglass components may eliminate problems found in wood columns, such as rotting and peeling, and are perfectly suited for areas where adequate ventilation cannot be provided.
Lower Handling Costs
The light weight of SDC-UltraGlas™ Fiberglass Columns and simplified installation procedure reduce shipping and handling costs when compared to columns made from traditional materials like wood and plaster. The shaft can be trimmed using an carbide tipped blade.

SDC-UltraGlas™ Fiberglass Columns us filament winding technology developed for the aerospace industry to provide tremendous strength and high impact resistance without increased weight and can even be specified for Class A fire ratings.
Warranty
SDC-UltraGlas™ Fiberglass Column shafts are warranted to be free from defects in material and manufacturing workmanship to the original purchaser. All installation and painting procedures must be followed for warranty to be in effect. Columns split for reassembly or otherwise modified are not covered under this warranty.
